'Star persona video feedback and learner response'
Mise-en-scene makeover: Learner response
Teacher's WWW: very good framing/composition. Good setting and framework for your filming. There was effective makeup because the process of the star persona was clear. The editing on this video also the caption of shots.
Teacher's EBI: The soundtrack didn't seem fit with the videos agenda also the video went on for too long and needed to sped up more. Also the abrupt ending needed to be clear and didn't look sophisticated.
Student one;
WWW: the makeup and the process of the makeover was clear.
EBI: the soundtrack didn't fit the whole joker vibe.
Student two;
WWW: great frame position for filming
EBI: the lightning could be darker and focused on the joker process.
Student three;
WWW: the editing was great and showed the video crisp clear (HD).
EBI: the dramic stop at the end didn't make sense.
For my video I believe my WWW would be the location choice and editing because I spent a lot of time to pick it out and the process of the time lapse was really fun. However, I believe my EBI would be the soundtrack I placed because I've noticed it doesn't reflect the mood and the joker makeover.
My star mood board helped me understand the process of becoming the joker and how he's image reflects instability which I was trying to convey in this video. Also it helped me develop his character and changes we made during the makeover as some colours could've limited the image I was trying to portray.
In future practical videos I should whilst filming or after filming keep in mind the image or process I'm trying to convey and to use sound as a way to capture that tone.
I've learnt how mise-en- scene can really affect the whole process of a video or picture as it plays such a major role in becoming macguffin in a storyline. The creation of star persona has taught me the hard work and dedication that goes into modelling and creating theses star persons in film and television to attract their target audiences.
