Research and planning blog tasks Create a blogpost called ' Print brief research and planning ' and complete the following tasks to plan and prepare your print work: 1) Research  music magazine cover key conventions . Look over the  magazine cover key conventions notes sheet  and write which of these you will use for your magazine cover. (This is a film magazine example but the conventions still apply). The title.  The slogan. The tagline. The front cover. Central image. Free offer. Double page interview. Tour poster. Product placement on the magazine (niche feature).  Music magazine front covers; Rolling stone - The design idea that I would use from my own music magazine would be that their title over the central image. MOJO - The design idea that I would take from MOJO magazine would be they had their tagline within their title. This a very niche feature which I really likes and would incorporate into my music magazine.  Q - The convention that i would use for my own music

Music video pre-production (MV treatment)

My music video will be based on the song "Somebody's watching me" by the artist Rockwell. The genre for this song would be a hybrid between Pop/Rock. The genre for this music video will be around Thriller and suspense.  The concept for my music video will be based around two male friends who go on a camping trip which turns out to be a set-up as Ari (one of the protagonists) is the stalker and has been spying on his best friend for some time now and is plotting to get "rid" of him. This turns out to be a dream however it is set up to make it seem like an intuitional dream to show that his friend is actually spying on him.  Scene 1: Settings - The woods (Perivale Park) In scene one we will be introduced to the protagonists Fai (the victim) and Ari (the stalker). The first scene will be a pan of the setting which is the woods as we see them both walking near the lake to find a spot to put up the tent. This means that the audience from the start will relaise some

Shot 4- The fourth shot would be an over the shoulder shot of the stalker putting something into the tent.  Shot 5- The fifth shot would be a cutaway from the protagonist being watched.  Shot 6- The sixth shot would be a medium pan of the two protagonists walking with the tent.  Shot 7- The seventh shot would be an extreme close-up of a clock moving clock-wise. Shot 8 - The eighth shot would be a zoom of the protagonist near the lake. Shot 9 - The ninth would be a medium shot/over the shoulder shot of the two protagonists.  Shot 10- The tenth shot would be a zoom of the protagonist near the lake.  Shot 11 - The eleventh shot would link to the zoom but from the stalker's POV. Shot 12 - The twe

Music video pre-production (Mise-en-scene plan)

Setting -  The first location will be a long-shot of the woods in Perivale Park. The second location will be Fai and Ari (actors) walking through the woods. The third location will be Fai just looking at the lake. The fourth location would be Fai and Ari finding a different location due to the weather. The fifth location would be the treehouse near Perivale Park. - Scene of Fai lip-syncing. The sixth location would a flashback of Fai getting ready to get into the shower. The seventh location would Ari watching Fai through a camera in an office type environment.  The seventh location would the empty park which Ari and Fai go into as they hear a scream. The eighth location will be Fai running from Ari as he chases him. The tenth location would be Fai waking up and it being a dream. MakeUp -  Only one scene in my music video would need make-up or special effects applied, and this scene would require Fai being chased, and then he falls which leads to him bleeds. Then I will need fake blo

Statement of Intent second draft

The mainstream audience for this music video would a niche audience who listen to both the hybrid genre of pop and rock material however, the mainstream availability to watch this song will amount to lots of audience engagement from a wider perspective. The choice of genre would be hybrid which is between pop and rock, this connotes a wider audience range. The sponsorship deal with this artist would be between JBL boombox which will be included in the music video at a specific scene which will help greater the engagement for the brand and the artist. The two locations where my music video will set in would be the woods (outdoor) and a cabin (indoors). The music video conventions for this music video would be a mixture between slow movements and a lot of editing. The genre would be based around horror and a short film like music video. The camerawork will vary depending on scene but it wi
